Behind this question hides an entire cultural universe. It is not just a comment about clothing, but a public check of how ready someone is for the event. A mix of curiosity, concern, sarcasm and affection that always comes from grandmothers, aunts, neighbours and family friends.
The expression comes from the dialect verb “rvestì”, meaning to get dressed, and highlights the way a person chooses to present themselves to others. Because in Marche communities, clothing is never just about appearance: it tells a story of respect, belonging and knowing how to be part of the world.
