Marche Love at
the Career Day
On October 15, 2024, we made our official debut with Marche Love – WhatYouSay at the Career Day in the space of MATT – Coworking in Macerata (which is not only our everyday workspace, but also the perfect place to meet people who are excited about the future).
The event was designed for students, recent graduates, and professionals, but for us it became the perfect opportunity to test an idea in the field: talking about Marchigian dialects with those who still feel them… sometimes without even realizing it.
The students let themselves be interviewed with ease, sharing smiles and jokes as they spoke about their relationship with the dialect: some defend it with pride, some treat it as a “secret language” to use only with family, and some pretend not to understand it (but then slip in a “vardasci” without thinking twice).
And it didn’t stop there: between chats, they picked and wore t-shirts, mugs, and bottles from the collection. Just like that, without much ceremony, they became our first official testimonials – spontaneous, ironic, and authentic.
For us, it was a special experience: the joy of seeing an idea take shape not only in our minds, but also in the hands (and on the bodies!) of people. A strong push, the right one, to keep moving the project forward with even more energy.
After all, it all started like this: with some laughter, plenty of enthusiasm, and the desire to say that no, the dialect isn’t nothing… but in reality, it’s everything.
