WhatYouSay – Third Stop:

In Pioraco, dialect finds its voice in the Cloister.

n Pioraco, we could only go inward: into the heart of the village, inside the Municipal Cloister, where stones and words echoed one another.

Here, “Non è niente” came to life through a warm and participatory round table, organized together with Artium Universitas and under the patronage of the Municipality of Pioraco.

Not a formal conference, but a living conversation made of shared glances, dialect spoken out loud, and ideas bouncing between past and future.

They brought their energy:

  • Giovanna Sapio (art and history)
  • Giordano Pierlorenzi (psychology and community)
  • Andrea Capeci (design and creativity)
  • Beatrice Maltempi (words and readings)
  • Luisella Tamagnini, Gianluca Sabbatini, and Patrizia Boldrini (Pioraco’s dialect theatre from the heart)

Between thoughtful reflections and smiles in dialect, the discussion touched on Made in Italy, craftsmanship, identity, and the power of recognizing ourselves in our roots.

Mayor Matteo Cicconi reminded everyone that dialect is not an “unattractive” language, but a symbol of pride to protect and pass on.

✨ And for those who couldn’t attend: the exhibition remains open in the coming days inside the Cloister, ready to welcome anyone who wants to be surprised by posters that may seem small… but are far from “nothing.”
