Inauguration at Vicolo Consalvi, Macerata
On August 25, 2025, the historic center of Macerata lit up with words, colors, and memories for the inauguration of “Non è Niente,” the art installation from the MarcheLove – WhatYouSay project hosted in the historic Vicolo Consalvi.
After its opening stop in Penna San Giovanni, the traveling project arrived in the heart of the city, transforming the alley into an open-air gallery: bilingual graphic posters (Marche dialect/English) telling sayings, popular expressions, and fragments of collective identity.
Visitors walked among the panels, rediscovering familiar phrases and being surprised at how dialect—translated into contemporary visual language—becomes living memory and a shared cultural sign.
The inauguration was a moment of encounter and participation, confirming how the project creates dialogue between different generations, blending irony, belonging, and creativity.
The next stop will be in Pioraco on August 31, 2025, featuring a special roundtable dedicated to the value of dialect, identity, and the bond with local territories.
With “Non è Niente,” the Marche dialect no longer remains confined to homes or private memories: it becomes an urban, public, and shared language.
